Public Media Company is seeking a Director, Consulting to lead national projects for local media organizations, shaping growth and sustainability. You will design, analyze, plan and implement strategic opportunities for PMC and clients, exercising prudent judgment and collaborative decision-making.

As the consulting lead and project manager, you will build enduring client relationships, define project scope, manage deadlines, and present outcomes to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing strategic initiatives in media or nonprofit sectors.
• Proven track record as a strategic leader for a media organization.
• Extensive experience in nonprofit journalism, public media or mission-driven media.
• Excellent project management with ability to lead teams and manage budgets.
• Strong relationship-building with internal and external partners.
• Broad knowledge across IT, Marketing and HR domains.
• Willingness to operate in startup-like environments and launch new products in media.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project lead or team member on client projects and Public Media Company initiatives.
• Help pursue local media growth and sustainability measures benefiting PMC and public media.
• Monitor and manage multiple client projects with tight deadlines; conduct independent work.
• Prepare consulting proposals, grant requests and funding pitches for projects.
• Define scope of work, conduct research and collaborate to deliver outcomes.
• Coordinate final deliverables and prepare reports and presentations.
• Represent PMC at stakeholder meetings, events and conferences.
• Grow contacts in nonprofit and public media to generate revenue and showcase expertise.
• Create initiatives led by PMC that demonstrate industry leadership.
