Liberty Mutual is seeking an experienced Large Construction underwriter to deliver expert technical underwriting across auto, GL, and workers' compensation for major construction portfolios. You will partner with field underwriters and UW managers on referrals and key decisions, shaping portfolio strategies and performance.

The role emphasizes collaboration with leadership, exposure analysis, and the development of product and service enhancements within a supportive, high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of coverage forms, exclusions, and exposure.
• Advanced knowledge across Construction programs and related operations.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• 10+ years of underwriting experience in related domains.

Responsibilities

• Provides expert technical underwriting assistance and referrals across lines for Large Construction.
• Ensures continuity between Primary Casualty and Excess placements; advises on exposure and pricing.
• Monitors decision frameworks and identifies performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Drives underwriting excellence and coordinates product/service enhancements with leaders.
• Collaborates with UW Support, Claims, Actuarial, and product teams.
