Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking an Executive Underwriter to grow and manage a complex Inland Marine book focused on construction-related risks, from builders risk to large-scale infrastructure. You will apply deep technical judgment and data-driven analysis to set coverage terms, pricing, and limits within authority, partnering with senior leaders on the most complex accounts.

You will also build strong broker/client relationships, stay current on industry trends, and collaborate with Risk

Qualifications

• Degree in Business or equivalent typically required.
• 7+ years underwriting experience, 10+ preferred.
• CPCU or professional designation preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage construction-focused inland marine accounts; evaluate scope, values, and risk controls.
• Build profitable broker and client relationships; maintain market presence and develop opportunities.
• Analyze complex construction exposures and clearly articulate coverage differences and terms.
• Collaborate across the organization to deliver sound decisions and improve underwriting quality.
• Develop talent and share expertise; mentor and train underwriters and partners.
