Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a senior underwriter for Large Construction to deliver primary casualty coverage for major contractors in the U.S. You will provide expert technical underwriting guidance, manage complex portfolios, and support frontline teams on referrals and key pricing decisions.

You will collaborate with underwriting leaders to drive performance improvements, develop portfolio strategies, and mentor others while aligning with risk management objectives.

Qualifications

• Expert-level knowledge of coverage forms, exclusions, and exposure.
• Pricing, structure, rating, loss forecasting, and market knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provides expert underwriting assistance and referral approvals across multiple lines (auto, GL, WC) for Large Construction.
• Ensures continuity between Primary Casualty and Excess placements and supports leadership on transactions.
• Monitors underwriting decision frameworks and identifies performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Drives underwriting technical excellence and coordinates product/service enhancements with leadership.
