• BS/BA degree in business administration, finance or marketing.
• Minimum of 7 years of commercial insurance experience.
• Expertise in commercial lines construction underwriting and risk assessment.
• Proven business development acumen with relationship growth.
• Collaborative team player with strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Highly organized, self-directed, with data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Construction accounts by evaluating risk characteristics, exposures, hazards, and controls.
• Maintain deep expertise in Construction industry and market trends.
• Balance risk selection and pricing to drive profitable growth while maintaining producer relationships.
• Serve as trusted advisor to agency partners on products and underwriting philosophy.
• Build and maintain strong agency relationships to attract targeted business.
• Develop and manage a pipeline to achieve production and business mix objectives.
• Meet underwriting performance goals including production, quotes, and hit ratio.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain underwriting files per guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Coach, mentor, and support the development of less experienced underwriters.
• Foster strong relationships through effective communication and collaboration.
