Job summary

AXA XL is seeking an experienced construction underwriter to tailor high-touch solutions for large contractors, general contractors, and trade contractors. You will partner with actuarial, claims, and marketing teams to evaluate applications, determine risk, and structure policies that fit client needs.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and cross-selling within AXA XL's diverse construction risk suite, reporting to an Underwriting Manager.

Qualifications

• Moderate Commercial Underwriting or Broking experience.
• In-depth knowledge for Construction Professional accounts.
• Strong written and oral communication; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Market to producers to secure new and renewal business.
• Review applications, terms, values, loss history, and risk; determine degree of risk.
• Coordinate with Actuarial, Claims, Reinsurance, Accounting, Marketing, Regulatory, and others.
• Determine quote or declination of risk; calculate rates and premiums.
• Mentor and motivate underwriters and underwriting assistants; lead special projects.
