Job summary

AXA XL is seeking an experienced underwriter to tailor risk transfer and service-related solutions for construction clients in the U.S. This role reports to the Underwriting Manager and focuses on profitable growth through broker and client relationships.

You will evaluate risks, structure tailor-made programs, and collaborate across teams to deliver superior service and results in a dynamic insurance environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive underwriting experience with thorough technical knowledge of underwriting, rating methodologies, forms and business processes.
• Large account experience is a plus and beneficial for complex risks.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers, producers and trading partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and structure tailor-made solutions through risk transfer and service-related products.
• Procure new business opportunities through marketing strategies and broker relationships.
• Evaluate risk premium considering risk costs and reinsurance cessions for profitability.
• Utilize sales and negotiating skills to close new business and renewal transactions.
• Collaborate internally with other units to pursue cross-selling opportunities.
• Manage timely implementation of new and renewal accounts including referrals, quotes, and policies.
