Job summary

Turner Construction Co. is seeking an experienced Superintendent for an advanced technology project in Northern Louisiana. The role leads, directs, and coordinates subcontractor work, ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality, and budget adherence on site.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least four years of related experience, with travel 90-100% and regular on-site duties supporting Turner’s standards and project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of four years' related experience in construction or supervision.
• Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, and familiarity with contract documents and EH&S applications.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and make decisions related to the performance of work related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and trade employee staffing levels.
• Oversee work among assigned trades to promote coordinated project operations and resolve local area issues.
• Manage the site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and safety regulations.
• Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and Interns, including performance input.
• Create schedules and determine sequencing; develop recovery strategies to maintain schedule.
• Communicate with owners and architects/engineers regarding field issues and resolutions.
• Manage billing processes related to Work In Place and monthly estimates, payrolls, material invoices and subcontractor payments.
• Ensure work installed complies with approved contract documents.
