Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a Superintendent to oversee medium-to-large telecom projects on site. You will recruit, train, and manage staff, liaise with customers, and ensure safety, quality, and financial performance.

You will plan for profitability, monitor schedules, and maintain project documentation while coordinating with the Training Department and management to meet objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ supervisory or managerial experience.
• At least three years as Lead Communications Technician or similar position.
• At least five years in telecommunications or related field.
• Proficient with a computer and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).
• Must meet company driving standards and be able to travel within the branch/regional territory.
• Ability to define a project scope, create a project estimate, and manage tasks to completion.
• Must interpret blueprints and project documents to ensure accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, supervise and manage project staff per company policies.
• Act as liaison with customer representatives for operational interfaces.
• Plan and monitor project profitability and meet customer requirements.
• Ensure deadlines, budget, and quality standards are met.
• Review job cost postings, invoices and financial reporting.
• Complete required project paperwork accurately and on time.
• Perform site quality checks and ensure safety is a priority.
• Coordinate on-site meetings and client communications.
