Job summary

A.R. Mays Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead commercial projects across Southern California. You will supervise on-site activities, manage schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality, working with project managers and field teams.

This role supports a local Rancho Cucamonga office while the corporate office is in Scottsdale, AZ. You will drive safety programs, manage RFIs and change orders, and maintain strong client relationships

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
• Experience with general contractors and ground-up projects preferred.
• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Procore.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations and jobsite execution.
• Manage and maintain the construction schedule.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and field personnel.
• Ensure work meets plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Lead jobsite safety and maintain OSHA compliance.
• Conduct inspections and coordinate with local municipalities.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Lead project meetings and communicate with stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation and reporting; manage closeout.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
