Job summary

A.R. Mays Construction is seeking a Construction Superintendent to supervise field work and subcontractors on assigned projects. The role ensures on-time completion per contract and the project schedule, while upholding quality and protecting the firm’s reputation.

The candidate will manage day-to-day operations, direct performance of work per plans, and collaborate with the project team to deliver successful outcomes. Strong MS Project/Procore use is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3–5 years working as a superintendent for a commercial general contractor or comparable experience.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to travel to project sites.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Procore software.

Responsibilities

• Customer relations and coordination with clients and team members.
• Direct supervision of field work and subcontractors.
• Manage construction schedule and subcontracts.
• Prepare and review submittals, RFI responses, and contract documents.
• Facilitate project meetings and ensure quality control on site.
• Maintain project closeout documentation and punchlists.

Job Summary

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for the direct supervision of field work performed by A.R. Mays Construction and its subcontractors on assigned projects. Is a member of the project team and works with other team leaders to build the project successfully. Assures completion of the work on time per the contract and project schedule. Is responsible for the project schedule and day-to-day operations. Directs performance of the work in accordance with the plans while maintaining the highest standard of quality. Ensures that the field operations are managed in a manner which will enhance the client’s and this company’s reputation.
