Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Philadelphia is seeking a seasoned construction leader to supervise field operations, organize and schedule work, and ensure project delivery within time and budget while meeting quality standards.

You will liaison with owners, architects, and engineers, develop schedules, lead field staff, and uphold ethics and safety programs. Strong BIM/Lean knowledge and cost-control experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least four years of related training and eight years of building construction experience.
• Thorough knowledge of general and subcontract documents, drawings, specifications, construction means, methods and materials.
• Understanding of line and grade and survey methods.
• Knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting procedures.
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to implement BIM and Lean to benefit the project.
• Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with owners, architects and engineers for day-to-day construction activities.
• Develop and implement overall project work schedules with critical path and expediting materials and equipment.
• Lead, supervise and develop Turner field staff and participate in performance appraisals.
• Ensure adherence to ethics and compliance requirements at all times.
• Develop and manage the site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner standards.
• Decide on performance of work related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and staffing.
• Coordinate across trades to optimize project operations and resolve on-site issues.
• Manage labor relations with subcontractors and Turner staff.
