Job summary

Kimmel Associates is seeking a Senior Superintendent to oversee multiple commercial construction projects, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence. This role demands a proactive leader who can coordinate field teams, subcontractors, and project managers across Virginia, Maryland, and the broader Metro DC region.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of commercial construction experience.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site construction activities across multiple projects.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate work to maximize crew productivity and equipment utilization.
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Enforce corporate safety programs and maintain compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to specifications.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers to align on labor, equipment, and project needs.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop foremen and field staff, promoting a strong team culture.
• Manage subcontractors and ensure performance standards are met.
• Identify and resolve issues proactively to minimize project disruptions.
• Maintain clear communication across all stakeholders, including field teams and leadership.
• Implement cost-effective construction strategies and field management practices.
