Job summary

Kna Contracting, a Virginia-based general contractor, seeks an experienced Superintendent to oversee all phases of construction projects, coordinate subcontractors, materials, and equipment, and ensure adherence to plans and budgets. The role focuses on scheduling, safety, and daily communications with owners, architects, and engineers.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in commercial construction, prove scheduling and site-management skills, and hold OSHA 10/30 and safety certifications.

Qualifications

• 5 years commercial construction experience.
• Experience in scheduling.
• Experience in jobsite management.
• OSHA 10/30 training certification.
• Safety and first aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and equipment and ensure work follows specs and stays on schedule and within budget.
• Schedule inspections, quality control, and maintain site safety and cleanliness.
• Serve as primary contact with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors for daily construction activities.
• Work with Project Manager to maintain records, daily reports, schedules, submittals, RFIs, subcontracts, and budget reporting.
• Develop and implement overall project work schedules, identifying critical path and expediting materials and equipment.
• Oversee site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with safety codes and regulations.
• Manage performance related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and staffing levels.
• Oversee coordination among trades to ensure a unified project operation.
• Act as liaison to inspection agencies and manage general conditions and project budgets.
