Kimmel & Associates is seeking an experienced General Superintendent to lead our client's commercial concrete operations in Charlottesville, Virginia. Reporting to the President, this role directs field execution, manpower planning, subcontractor performance, scheduling, and quality control across active projects while balancing site operations with project financial goals.

The successful candidate will build strong relationships with Project Managers, field staff, clients, and vendors, promote

Competenze

• 8+ years of commercial construction experience, preferably in concrete.
• Proven leadership in General Superintendent or similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Project; experience with Takeoff tools is preferred.

Mansioni

• Oversee field labor and operations across multiple commercial concrete projects.
• Develop and manage weekly manpower requirements.
• Evaluate performance and address issues.
• Monitor schedules, labor costs, and project profitability.
• Conduct weekly production and performance reviews with PMs and Superintendents.
• Coordinate with PMs to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
• Provide QA/QC oversight throughout all construction phases.
• Maintain consistent quality standards with subs.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to field personnel.
• Plan short- and long-term manpower and operations.
• Promote safety culture and compliance.
• Build relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and community stakeholders.
• Represent the company professionally in the field and community.
