Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead, direct, and coordinate the work of subcontractors on a Philadelphia-based project. You will ensure safety, schedule delivery, quality, and adherence to budget while supervising Assistant Superintendents, Engineers, and trade labor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of four years' related experience in building construction.
• Knowledge of means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, drawings and specifications.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and staffing levels.
• Coordinate trades to promote coordinated project operations and resolve issues.
• Manage site safety program and subcontractor compliance with Turner standards.
• Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers and Interns; provide performance input.
• Create schedules and sequencing; implement recovery strategies to maintain schedule.
• Communicate with owners and architects/engineers on field issues; investigate and resolve them.
• Oversee billing, Work In Place (WIP) and subcontractor payments; ensure conformance with contract documents.
