Job summary

Shimizu North America seeks an experienced General Superintendent/Construction Manager to lead on-site activities in Guntersville, AL. The role oversees field operations, site safety, productivity, and quality, coordinating with the Project Manager and project team.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, managing subcontractors, daily reporting, change orders, QA/punch lists, and ensuring OSHA compliance on a large cast-in-place concrete project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management preferred.
• Minimum 15+ years of related on-site experience.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Experience with cast-in-place concrete and shotcrete.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible for company insurance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field operations, safety, productivity, schedule, and quality.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and project team leaders.
• Monitor subcontractors and trades to meet milestones.
• Review construction drawings and shop drawings for feasibility.
• Prepare daily and weekly project reports and site photos.
• Prepare change orders and manage QA and punch lists.
• Ensure OSHA safety compliance and proper training for subs.
