Job summary

Shimizu North America is seeking a General Superintendent/Construction Manager to supervise field operations, safety, schedule, and quality on a large-scale project. You will coordinate with the Project Manager and lead subcontractors to meet milestones while ensuring OSHA compliance and proper documentation.

The role requires extensive on-site leadership, strong knowledge of codes, and experience with cast-in-place concrete.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in engineering, architecture, or construction management; minimum 15+ years of on-site superintendent/construction manager experience.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety laws, and permitting processes.
• Experience with cast-in-place concrete, MEP trades, sitework, and coordination with subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field operations, safety, productivity, schedule, and quality across assigned activities.
• Coordinate with project manager and team; monitor subcontractors to meet milestones.
• Review drawings, prepare change orders, and manage site reporting in CM software.
• Ensure OSHA compliance, QA/punch list generation, and proper material receiving.
• Lead daily/weekly project reporting and maintain digital project documentation.
