Job summary

Shimizu North America is seeking a General Superintendent/Construction Manager to supervise all field operations on a major project in Ohio (Lordstown). The role requires coordinating with the Project Manager and project team, ensuring safety, schedule, quality, and cost control, and overseeing subcontractors and suppliers.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of on-site leadership experience, strong knowledge of concrete and MEP methods, and fluency with construction drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of experience as an on-site Superintendent/Construction Manager.
• Experience with cast-in-place concrete and MEP/sitework.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations (OSHA).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and shop drawings.
• Experience coordinating with PMs, engineers, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field operations, site safety, productivity, schedule, and quality of work.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and project team.
• Review drawings for feasibility and constructability.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers; oversee daily reporting.
• Prepare change orders and QA/punch lists; maintain project documentation.
