Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial or industrial construction experience with progression in field leadership.
• 3+ years leading projects as Superintendent or comparable field leadership role.
• Experience managing complex industrial, manufacturing, food & beverage, or similar construction projects.
• Strong working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, sequencing, quality control, and jobsite safety.
• Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors, field crews, vendors, and project teams while maintaining schedule and quality expectations.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documentation.
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.
• Equivalent combination of field experience, leadership experience, and education will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Has successfully completed several multi-million-dollar projects.
• Capable of running projects of increased complexity with DSC crews in excess of 10.
• Work closely with project engineer on site to assist in correction of shop drawings.
• Responsible for day-to-day management of a construction project; develop three week look ahead schedules.
• Supervise day-to-day operations of construction crews; staffing, materials, equipment, safety, and scheduling.
• Maintain quality work, be hands-on and available for questions and demonstrations.
• Inspect layout and ensure proper site layout; coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and customers.
• Manage safety, hiring/terminations, performance reviews, and HR coordination as needed.
• Identify plan conflicts; resolve issues with design team and clients to prevent delays.
• Assist project manager in resolving client and subcontractor concerns; review shop drawings and RFIs.
• Purchase materials, manage inventory, and coordinate tool/equipment needs on site.
• Track project expenses; maintain daily logs and communicate timing/cost risks.
• Conduct regular crew meetings; enforce safety and document training.
• Attend progress meetings with project manager and owner/customer.
• Ensure on-site tools and equipment are secure and maintained; participate in capital purchases.
• Be on-site during working hours; adjust hours as needed for project requirements.
• Perform additional duties to support project success.
