Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson seeks a Construction Superintendent in New York, NY to provide project oversight, interpret and coordinate assignments, and ensure work meets contract documents. You will mentor junior staff and lead field operations for complex building projects.

The role requires ten years of construction experience, experience with renovation projects and strong communication skills. OSHA 30 certification and familiarity with Procore or similar tools are expected.

Qualifications

• Ten years of construction experience in roles such as Construction Manager, Senior Inspector, or Superintendent.
• Experience with building renovation and multi-trade projects with close owner coordination.
• OSHA 30-hour construction safety training.
• Experience with Owners Project Managers on costs, change orders, RFIs and submittals.
• Experience using construction mgmt software (e.g., eBuilder, Procore).
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain excellent relationships with clients, occupants, architects/engineers, and contractors.
• Manage and coordinate field/inspection staff.
• Manage project schedule from inception to close out.
• Lead project meetings at the job site.
• Review contractor work for conformance with plans and specs.
• Review and approve contractor monthly requisitions and invoices.
• Report on project issues and provide status updates.
• Perform other duties as required.
