Job summary

Promethean Builders is seeking a Senior Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations on active construction projects in New York. You will ensure safety, schedule adherence, and compliance with contract documents and company quality standards while coordinating across trades and managing site logistics.

This role leads field teams, conducts regular reports and inspections, enforces OSHA guidelines, mentors junior staff, and supports preconstruction activities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of field supervision experience in commercial, residential, or institutional construction.
• Strong scheduling, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to drive results under pressure.
• Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Project, or equivalent construction management software.
• OSHA-30 certification required; NYC DOB Site Safety certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily on-site operations for all phases of construction.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure proper sequencing and adherence to documents.
• Lead daily coordination meetings and maintain communication between field teams, project managers, and design professionals.
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols in alignment with OSHA and company standards; maintain a clean, organized site.
• Conduct daily reports, maintain project logs, and track progress and inspections.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, addressing deficiencies.
• Coordinate and schedule required inspections and ensure timely sign-offs.
• Identify and communicate scope gaps or conflicts, escalating issues proactively.
• Support preconstruction and startup activities, including logistics planning and permits.
• Mentor Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and Interns; promote professional growth.
• Represent Promethean professionally in client, architect, and trade interactions.
• Support turnover activities and punch list completion.
