Job summary

Bound Construction, a dynamic construction management firm, seeks a Construction Superintendent for a New York-based role with projects across the Tri-State area.

Ideal candidate offers 5+ years in on-site construction, interiors/mechanical/civil/utilities, and OSHA 30-Hour certification. Lead subcontractors, coordinate schedules, and enforce safety while delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of on-site construction management experience.
• Experience in interiors, mechanical, civil, or utility services.
• Healthcare construction experience preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour Certification required; additional safety certifications a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience may substitute for a degree.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site construction activities to meet schedule, budget, and quality.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel to maintain workflow.
• Conduct daily site inspections for progress, safety compliance, and adherence to specs.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and progress reports for on-site activities.
• Identify and resolve on-site issues proactively.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies; conduct toolbox talks.
• Review and interpret drawings, specs, and project documents.
• Schedule critical path activities and optimize labor/material use.
• Collaborate with project managers to update schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate trades to sequence and complete work efficiently.
• Manage site logistics: deliveries, equipment, and organization.
• Lead pre-installation meetings to align scope, schedule, and quality.
• Enforce quality control to meet client expectations.
