Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. seeks a Construction Superintendent in New York to oversee field inspection teams, manage schedules from start to finish, and coordinate with owners and contractors.

The role focuses on strict contract compliance and technical guidance for project success. The ideal candidate brings a decade of CM/inspection experience, OSHA 30, and proven ability to mentor staff, review budgets, and lead meetings on multifamily/public projects.

Qualifications

• Ten years of construction experience in CM/inspection roles.
• Experience with building renovations and coordination with owner/government on costs and schedules.
• OSHA 30-hour construction safety training.
• Experience with Owner’s Project Managers on costs, budgets, change requests, RFIs, submittals, and field observation reports.
• Experience using construction management software (eBuilder, Procore).
• Strong written and verbal communication; organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with clients, occupants, architects/engineers and contractors.
• Manage and coordinate field/inspection staff.
• Manage project schedule from inception to close out.
• Run project job-site meetings.
• Review contractor work for compliance with plans and specifications.
• Review and approve contractor monthly requisitions and invoices.
• Report on project issues and provide status updates.
• Perform other duties as may be required.
