Consigli Construction Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Superintendent to provide on-site administrative and technical management at the construction project site in Virginia Beach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management with at least 5 years of experience.
• Understands building plans and specs.
• OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• CPM scheduling knowledge.
• Familiar with safety standards and quality programs.

Responsibilities

• Administer project safety program to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Proficient in all five areas of focus on the project: Safety, Schedule, Cost, Quality, and client relations.
• Develop and implement a site-specific safety plan for each project assigned.
• Verify subcontractors have valid subcontract and acceptable insurance.
• Serve as OSHA competent person for various tasks.
• Preplan operations to produce safe, efficient methods and correct hazards.
• Supervise construction to ensure plans and specs are followed.
• Interpret contract drawings and develop construction methods.
• Work with project team to set goals and milestones.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials for self-perform work.
• Create the Site‑Specific Quality Plan (SSQP) and manage quality efforts.
• Complete onsite material verification as required.
• Manage project budget and cost-to-complete.
• Track production and submit weekly quantities.
• Identify field changes and document to ensure compensation.
• Approve subcontractor requisitions.
• Develop baseline schedule with Project Services Group.
• Track progress against baseline and critical path dates.
• Communicate schedule at weekly subcontractor meetings.
• Develop a short-term weekly plan supporting the project schedule.
• Coordinate and lead daily stand-up and weekly foreman meetings.
• Ensure material delivery log is updated.
• Interface with client representatives, A‑E representatives, other contractors, and building officials.
• Participate in business development and seek leads for future projects.
• Participate in quarterly superintendent and safety meetings and training.
• Supervise assigned foremen, assistant superintendents, and project engineers.
