Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Construction Site Coordinator to manage pre-construction through post-construction activities for transmission and distribution projects. You will coordinate site logistics, material delivery, and contractor performance while ensuring safety and compliance across Williamsport, MD; Frederick, MD; or Martinsburg, WV sites.

Qualifications

• This role requires a construction background with ability to review initial and detailed plans for constructability.
• Experience leading scope change discussions with vendors and site teams.
• Ability to mentor junior CSCs in time and cost management practices.
• Strong schedule review and risk identification capabilities.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management across multiple teams and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise pre-construction, construction, and post-construction activities for substation and line projects.
• Lead safety culture initiatives and ensure compliance with OH&S standards.
• Develop contractor bid packages and assist in bid review.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and action-point follow-up.
• Coordinate material requests, delivery, staging, and verification at sites.
• Inspect contractor work against design and construction standards.
• Document site meetings addressing safety, quality, and schedule issues.
• Ensure permits are available to all stakeholders and maintain project drawings.
• Mentor junior CSCs on time and cost management; review schedules for improvements.
• Provide input on development phase milestones and risk management plans.
