FirstEnergy is seeking a Construction Site Coordinator to coordinate pre-construction, construction, and post-construction activities for transmission and distribution projects in the Altoona, PA area.

The role emphasizes safety, schedule management, and collaboration with contractors. A related degree or equivalent experience, plus strong MS Office skills, are required for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field required.
• In lieu of degree, 3 years of commercial/industrial construction experience.
• Experience in electrical substation and/or line construction preferred.
• Proven teamwork and strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise pre-construction, construction, and post-construction activities for substation and line projects.
• Foster a high-performing safety culture through personal conduct and human performance principles.
• Manage schedules, CPM calculations, float, and predecessor dependencies.
• Prepare contractor bid packages and participate in pre-bid meetings.
• Inspect work for compliance with design and quality standards.
• Ensure proper permits, site drawings, and documentation are maintained.
