Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler I to oversee all planning and scheduling activities on diverse projects. The role requires interaction with staff at all levels to stay flexible, resourceful, and proactive in a fast-paced environment.

You will coach field personnel, manage scheduling teams, and ensure adherence to corporate planning standards. Travel may be required based on project needs while supporting Mortenson's safety and project delivery goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field.
• Minimum four years of construction experience or equivalent.
• Experience as a project engineer is desirable.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling concepts and company software.
• Understanding of cost/resource loaded schedules and project sequencing.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of all planning and scheduling activities.
• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and direct planning and scheduling activities.
• Ensure corporate planning standards are implemented and project activities comply.
• Coach, mentor, and train field personnel and supervision staff.
• Develop leadership and teamwork at the site.
• Ensure crews have resources and support; manage site logistics.
• Implement Mortenson's Safety Program at project site.
• Manage open shop and union issues; maintain site relationships.
• Identify hiring needs and participate in hiring decisions as needed.
