Job summary

Mortenson seeks an experienced Senior Scheduler I to oversee planning and scheduling for complex construction projects. You will interact with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment, staying flexible, resourceful, and professional while ensuring schedule integrity.

The role includes mentoring field personnel, coordinating site logistics, and supporting continuous process improvements. Travel may be required, and excellence in communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent field.
• Minimum of four years construction experience or equivalent.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Active listening and ability to accept diverse input and feedback.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling concepts, practices and company software.
• Understanding of construction practices and project sequencing.
• Ability to solve problems with mature judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of all planning and scheduling activities.
• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and direct planning and scheduling activities.
• Ensure corporate planning and schedule standards are followed for project activities.
• Provide oversight and supervision of scheduling team.
• Coach, mentor, and train field personnel and superintendents.
• Establish teamwork environment and ensure adequate resources.
• Manage site work and logistics efficiently; suggest improvements.
• Lead hiring discussions and support career growth opportunities.
• Implement Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety Program at project site.
• Maintain relationships with customers, architects, and subcontractors.
