Job summary

Cec Companies in Santa Teresa, NM is seeking a Project Scheduler 2 to develop and manage project schedules and create field templates. You will assist with coordinating tasks, monitoring timelines, and driving on-time delivery.

You will train foremen and project staff on new forms and processes, gather data from reporting processes, and provide detailed analyses for management review. This role requires strong scheduling expertise and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Five years of P6 experience on medium to large-sized construction projects.
• Large capital construction projects experience.
• Schedule management experience and integration of multiple schedules.
• Certification with AACE, PMI or CMAA is preferred.
• Proficient use of MS Excel and/or databases.

Responsibilities

• Supports the project team, and stakeholders on managing schedules for a successful project delivery.
• Work directly with schedulers from the various general contractors and design-build teams to monitor schedule risk.
• Maintain the overall milestone program and ensures milestone definitions are written and agreed upon by stakeholders.
• Determines reasonable schedule logic and constraints based on discussion with task owners and/or teams.
• Evaluates critical and near critical path activity sequences and coordinates reviews with stakeholders.
• Analyzes schedule reports/indicators and ensures delivery per the project execution plan.
• Identifies major milestones, critical approvals, and long lead procurement items.
• Assesses actual progress based on site inspections and validates reporting against the schedule.
• Identifies schedule changes, gaps, and trends and works with stakeholders to address issues.
• Monitors and reports schedule deliverables and communicates status to stakeholders.
• Develops recovery plans when delays occur and coordinates contingency actions.
• Ensures integration points of multiple projects support overall schedules.
• Presents a consolidated progress report to program/management.
• Provides what-if schedules as needed and shares lessons learned.
