Job summary

YA is seeking a Senior Scheduling Consultant in New York City to independently develop, update, and analyze construction schedules across multiple projects, assess field progress, evaluate project documentation and schedule data, communicate findings to stakeholders, and support resolution of schedule impacts and delay-related issues.

This onsite role requires sound judgment and strong client communication, with the ability to work both independently and with a team across offices and project

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in a construction scheduling role.
• PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) certification required.
• Experience using CPM techniques to analyze schedules.
• Proficient with scheduling tools: MS Project, Primavera P6, ASTA PowerProject.
• Willingness to travel 25–35% to project sites and client offices.
• Strong communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain construction schedules, including regular updates and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform site inspections to evaluate progress and confirm schedule status.
• Conduct forensic review of schedules and contemporaneous project documentation (including costs, productivity data, and relevant records).
• Perform delay analysis to determine the cause, extent, and impact of delays; support resolution of delay claims.
• Assess change impacts, extended general conditions, expediting expenses, and related schedule/cost implications; communicate conclusions clearly.
• Prepare clear technical reports and deliverables for clients and internal teams.
• Maintain organized job files, documentation, and project records.
• Coordinate regularly with internal staff, contractors, and clients.
