Job summary

YA is seeking a Senior Scheduling Consultant to lead all phases of the construction planning and scheduling process. You will perform inspections, analyze project data, relay findings, and update schedules with independent judgement on high-tech, large-scale projects.

This onsite role is based in Phoenix, AZ. Responsibilities include coordinating with clients and project teams, preparing technical reports, and maintaining project documentation throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or equivalent field.
• Minimum of 5 years in a professional work environment.
• Experience using critical path method (CPM) techniques to analyze construction project schedules.
• Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and ASTA Powerproject. Technical writing skills are a plus.
• Previous onsite construction experience. Ideally on high-tech, large scale. or mission critical projects.
• Experience presenting schedule status and risks to executive-level stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team towards a common purpose.
• Strong communications skills, with the ability to interface with various stakeholders and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of the construction planning & scheduling process, including the development and maintenance of schedules throughout the project duration.
• Conduct forensic analysis of project schedules, contemporaneous documentation, and construction costs.
• Evaluate project progress with the project team.
• Perform schedule delay analysis to establish the cause and extent of delays and to resolve construction delay claims.
• Evaluate construction productivity and progress data, extended general conditions, evaluate schedule acceleration, and mitigation option.
• Assess the impact of project changes and schedule delays, effectively communicating findings.
• Operates on behalf of clients to monitor and manage timelines, expenses, and other factors critical to operational efficiency and schedule management during all phases of construction.
• Review and synthesize relevant information to prepare technical project reports.
• Maintain job files, documentation, and other relevant deliverables.
• Interface with other department employees, contractors, and clients on a regular basis.
