Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Project Scheduler to develop and maintain CPM schedules for assigned commercial construction projects, monitor progress against baselines, and prepare reports on schedule-related trends.

You will collaborate with project managers, preconstruction teams, and stakeholders to ensure schedule accuracy, resource availability, and timely project delivery, leveraging Primavera P6 and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing scheduling for commercial construction projects.
• 5+ years of scheduling experience or equivalent training.
• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain schedules for assigned projects using CPM techniques.
• Organize and prioritize bid proposals to meet deadlines.
• Review project schedule data including activity records, start/finish dates, costs, WBS, and related data.
• Evaluate feasibility and recommend alternative methods to achieve results.
• Communicate work status and corrective actions with stakeholders to ensure conformance to schedules.
• Collaborate with preconstruction team to ensure clear schedule communication.
• Ensure resources are available to maintain schedules and notify of constraints.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to obtain status updates on activities and milestones.
• Coordinate projects with participants to keep plans current daily.
