Job summary

Cooper Equipment Rentals is seeking a Safety Manager to lead a safety-first culture across all operations. You will drive data-driven safety improvements and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations while overseeing fleet safety across facilities and jobsites.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in OS&H or related field and 5+ years of safety leadership in construction or equipment environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of safety leadership experience in construction or equipment environments.
Deep knowledge of OSHA regulations and DOT/environmental compliance.
Experience leading incident investigations and corrective actions.
First Aid/CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive safety strategy across all operations.
Serve as safety subject-matter expert, providing data-driven recommendations to leadership.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and all regulations; manage records and reporting.
Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
Lead incident investigations with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Track safety metrics and drive continuous improvement to reduce incidents.
Deliver safety training on OSHA compliance, LOTO, DOT, equipment safety, and TBSM initiatives.
Oversee fleet safety standards for heavy equipment and operations.
