Job summary

Cooper Equipment Rentals, a division of Cooper Tacia General Contracting, seeks a Safety Manager to lead the safety program in Raleigh, NC. You will champion a strong safety culture, deliver measurable improvements, and ensure regulatory compliance across operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in safety-related field, 5+ years of safety leadership in construction/equipment, and expertise in OSHA, DOT, and training programs. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of progressive safety leadership in construction or equipment environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and DOT requirements.
• Experience leading incident investigations and root-cause analyses.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive safety strategy across operations.
• Serve as safety SME, delivering data-driven recommendations to leadership.
• Ensure OSHA, DOT, EPA compliance and regulatory reporting.
• Conduct safety audits and risk assessments at facilities and sites.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Track safety metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and deliver safety training including OSHA, LOTO, DOT requirements.
• Oversee equipment and field safety standards to mitigate hazards.
