Job summary

The Encompass Group is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and maintain a comprehensive safety program across active construction projects. The role serves as the on-site safety authority, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies while promoting a proactive safety culture.

You will implement site-specific safety programs, conduct inspections, and lead safety training initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Safety Manager or Safety Professional within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and local, state, and federal safety requirements.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively with field teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Experience conducting safety training, inspections, audits, and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain site-specific and company-wide safety programs and policies.
  • Conduct routine job site safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Lead new hire safety orientations and ongoing safety training initiatives.
  • Identify safety concerns and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
  • Review and oversee toolbox talks, safety plans, lift plans, PPE compliance, SDS documentation, and other safety requirements.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses while maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, facilities, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
  • Support preconstruction and bidding teams by providing safety-related guidance and recommendations.
  • Participate in job site meetings, safety committees, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current on OSHA regulations, emerging safety technologies, and industry best practices.
