Job summary

SLS Consultants in Kansas City is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead site safety programs on large-scale construction projects, ensuring regulatory compliance and a strong safety culture across teams. The role collaborates with project management, contractors, and subs to conduct inspections, drive incident investigations, and track KPIs.

Qualifications

10+ years of construction safety management experience.
OSHA 30 certification required.
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Safety Management, or related field; Master's degree a plus.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
Experience on large commercial, industrial, energy, mission critical, or infrastructure projects.
Data center experience is a plus but not required.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and monitor site safety and EHS compliance activities.
Conduct daily site walks, audits, and safety inspections.
Partner with contractors and project teams to identify and mitigate risks.
Participate in incident investigations, corrective actions, and root cause analysis.
Track and report safety KPIs, trends, and performance metrics.
Facilitate safety meetings and support site safety committees.
Review contractor safety performance and address non-compliance issues.
Support project planning, design reviews, and construction safety initiatives.
