Job summary

AECOM has an opening for a Senior Construction Safety Professional in Austin, TX. You will be heavily involved on client sites as an owner's representative, promoting a culture of safety and ensuring environmental compliance across large data center campuses.

You will develop and supervise safety programs, work with contractors on corrective actions, and interface with the construction management team to deliver timely EHS data and KPI insights.

Qualifications

• BS/BA +6years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Experience in construction safety or related field.
• Experience in environmental compliance and industry standards.
• Valid Driver’s License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass MVR review.
• US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and advise on client’s EHS culture and support implementation of EHS procedures and regulatory requirements at the site.
• Independently develop, implement and maintain safety and health programs, systems, and procedures to reduce risk and exposures.
• Under minimal direction, supervise personnel engaged in the EHS functions within the company or on the same project.
• Monitor and work toward minimization of potential hazards and diseases in the work area.
• Supervise personnel engaged in monitoring and preventing hazards and diseases that could be present throughout the work sites.
• Work with and advise contractors on corrective actions for identified deficiencies or issues.
• Review and advise on Contractor Environmental Health and Safety Plans (CEHSP) for conformance with owner requirements and local regulations.
• Interface with construction management team delivering data on EHS performance and KPIs.
