Job summary

AECOM has a position available for Senior Construction Safety Professional in Austin, TX. In this role, you will work at client construction sites full-time as the owner's representative, reviewing and elevating safety and environmental compliance programs to promote a culture of safety across the sites.

The responsibilities include developing and maintaining safety programs, supervising EHS functions, advising contractors, reviewing CEHSPs, and reporting to federal, state, and local agencies.

Qualifications

• BS/BA +6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• Experience in construction safety or related field.
• Experience in environmental compliance and industry standards.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR check.
• US citizenship required.
• OSHA 30 Construction Safety Training (preferred).
• NFPA 70E Certification (preferred).
• Certified Safety Professional or equivalent (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review and promote client’s EHS culture and compliance on sites.
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety and health programs to reduce risk.
• Supervise EHS personnel on the project under minimal direction.
• Advise contractors on corrective actions for identified deficiencies.
• Prepare reports to Federal, State, and local agencies and stakeholders.
• Lead site safety meetings, training and campaigns as requested.
