Job summary

The Walsh Group is seeking an HSE Manager for a New Mexico project. You will develop and implement site-specific EHS plans, coordinate subcontractor safety programs, and lead audits and incident investigations to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

You will advise on industrial hygiene, environmental monitoring, and drug-free workplace processes while coordinating safety training and reporting. Some travel to other company sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction EHS field.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in safety/engineering.
• CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) certification.
• Strong communication, critical thinking and time-management skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a site-specific EHS plan in collaboration with Project Manager and leadership.
• Coordinate subcontractor EHS protocols and drive safe work practices with vendors and owner personnel.
• Conduct quarterly on-site EHS audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead accident investigations and track incident reporting for project management.
• Advise on industrial hygiene protocols and perform environmental monitoring.
• Oversee Drug-Free Workplace policy and testing programs; coordinate safety trainings.
• Provide EHS orientation and training to personnel; maintain weekly EHS updates.
