Job summary

The Walsh Group is seeking a proactive HSE Manager for a New Mexico project. This role develops and implements the site EHS plan, conducts safety meetings, and ensures compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations while coordinating with project managers.

You will lead investigations, supervise audits, train staff, and manage the Drug-Free Workplace policy, enabling safe operations and continuous improvement on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or CHST equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction EHS.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and time management.
• Willingness to travel.
• Physical ability to stand, sit, walk, or climb stairs/ladders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an effective site-specific EHS plan in coordination with Project Manager and regional programs.
• Coordinate subcontractor EHS protocols and vendor/owner safety requirements.
• Coordinate project EHS programs with subcontractors and employees.
• Plan and coordinate work to eliminate hazards and minimize losses from injuries or property damage.
• Conduct quarterly on-site EHS audits and inspections for compliance.
• Conduct accident investigations and report incidents to Project Management.
