Job summary

The Walsh Group, LaPorte project in Indiana, seeks an experienced HSE Manager to lead site-specific health, safety and environmental programs, ensuring compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations.

You will conduct safety meetings, investigations, and audits, manage the Drug-Free Workplace policy, and provide training to personnel across the project. This fourth-generation family-owned firm emphasizes growth, training, and safety excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering or Construction Management) or CHST certification.
Minimum 5 years in construction EHS.
Strong communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and time management.
Some travel required.
Ability to stand, sit, walk, and climb stairs or ladders.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement site-specific EHS plan adhering to corporate, divisional, and regional programs.
Coordinate subcontractor EHS protocols, including vendors and owner personnel.
Plan and coordinate work to eliminate hazards and manage losses.
Coordinate quarterly on-site EHS audits.
Inspect project site, equipment and processes for regulatory and policy compliance.
Conduct accident investigations and incident reporting.
Provide training and education on EHS requirements.
