Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Risk Manager to join our growing team and support large-scale construction and capital projects across multiple markets. The role requires experience in risk management, cost and schedule assessment, and collaboration with contractors and client teams.

The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of risk identification, quantitative analysis, and procurement/contract management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of applicable experience.
• Procurement and contract management experience in construction.
• Program Management or Program Controls experience.
• Deep knowledge of risk identification, facilitation and techniques.
• Strong communication, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of construction contracts, commercial models and delivery methods.
• Proficient in process mapping, root cause analysis and value-stream mapping.
• Familiarity with ARM, Predict and Tableau databases.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visibility of threat/opportunity trigger points and risk budgets.
• Use risk data to inform investment planning and cost control.
• Monitor overall risk exposure and remaining budget.
• Collaborate with contractors on held risks impacting the client.
• Produce timely risk reports to communicate status.
• Conduct quantitative risk assessment to inform contingencies.
• Develop and improve risk management services for the client.
• Lead end-to-end risk management on multiple projects/programs.
• Create risk management plans aligned with client requirements.
• Coordinate with project controls teams to reduce redundancies and improve processes.
• Transfer knowledge within risk teams and to stakeholders.
• Map value streams to quantify pain points and reduce waste.
• Collaborate on supplier performance metrics and improvement plans.
• Support expert witnesses in arbitral or litigation processes.
• Lead construction stage contract and claims management.
• Assess contractual claims per contract terms.
• Provide strategic and contractual dispute resolution advice.
• Oversee change management and construction cost control.
