Job summary

iSuite L.L.C. is seeking a seasoned Risk Manager to join our Legal team in St. Louis, MO.

You will oversee the enterprise insurance program across multiple lines, support bonding, and manage claims and risk financing for complex construction projects. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in risk management within construction, strong relationships with brokers and carriers, and a proactive, analytical approach.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in risk management, insurance, surety, or claims, with substantial construction industry experience.
• Experience managing insurance programs for a construction company or similar enterprise.
• Deep understanding of construction insurance, surety, claims, and contractual risk transfer.
• Experience working with insurance brokers, carriers, sureties, and third‑party administrators.
• Experience with large‑deductible or self‑insured retention programs.
• Understanding of bonding programs and indemnity arrangements.
• Highly organized, proactive, and accountable with strong follow‑through.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Company’s enterprise insurance program across general liability, excess liability, workers’ compensation, automobile, property, inland marine, professional, pollution cyber, and other lines.
• Lead preparation for annual insurance renewals, including underwriting submissions and negotiations.
• Monitor insurance costs, collateral requirements, loss funds, deductibles and overall program performance.
• Coordinate with brokers, carriers, and third‑party administrators on claims handling and reserve adequacy.
• Manage the bonding program (bid, performance, payment, and other project bonds), including reviewing bond forms and coordinating issuance timelines.
• Advise on prime contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and lease agreements from the risk management perspective.
• Partner with analytics to define risk metrics and translate them into data‑driven recommendations for reducing total cost of risk.
• Serve as internal SME on construction insurance and risk management; support executive leadership on risk profile.
