Job summary

Solutions Driven's client in Montgomery, IL, is seeking a Risk Manager to oversee contractual risk, insurance requirements and surety obligations across major contracts and projects. This is a hands-on, onsite role reporting to Legal and Operational leadership, with responsibility for guidance before contracts are signed and throughout the project lifecycle.

You will lead an International Risk Specialist, develop structured processes, and ensure timely tracking of insurance and bonds.

Qualifications

• Significant risk and insurance experience within construction.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, insurance requirements and risk transfer.
• Experience reviewing and evaluating complex construction contracts.
• Approximately 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience supporting a large contractor or major project portfolio.
• Ability to communicate complex risk and insurance matters clearly.
• Leadership experience or potential for first management role.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Review domestic and international construction contracts and JV agreements.
• Identify contractual risk exposures and insurance requirements.
• Lead insurance aspects of complex contract reviews and negotiations.
• Coordinate project-specific insurance including builders risk and certificates.
• Review OCIPs and identify coverage gaps.
• Evaluate subcontractor and consultant insurance coverage.
• Review and approve project-specific insurance policy wording.
• Support corporate surety program and bond requirements.
• Ensure policies and bonds are tracked through construction and closeout.
• Provide guidance to operations on risk, insurance, and compliance.
