Job summary

BELFOR USA is seeking a seasoned Project Manager in the Boston area to lead construction/restoration projects, coordinating crews and subcontractors while maintaining safety, schedule, and quality to ensure on-budget, on-time delivery. The role requires strong communication with estimators, vendors, and clients, with the ability to manage complex restoration programs.

This position demands hands-on leadership, proficiency in blueprints, vendor qualification, and adherence to building codes.

Qualifications

• Assist other PMs and Senior PMs and volunteer for CAT duty as possible
• Advance knowledge of technical services (Restoration track) and knowledge of building codes and regulations
• Serve as role models for Superintendents
• Sell and upgrade additional services on assigned project
• Communicate daily with Estimators on status of project, adjustments needed to timelines, or issues
• Continually improve core project management skills
• Complete projects on time and on budget with documented customer satisfaction
• Construction focus: plan, coordinate, and oversee employees and subcontractors in all phases of work
• Read and manage blue prints
• Responsible for projects exceeding $1M
• Understand and adhere to local building codes and regulatory agencies
• Restoration focus: direct small crews of BELFOR personnel and temporary workers
• Responsible for projects exceeding $1M
• Attend BELFOR approved training courses in areas of lesser experience
• Manage large crews and projects through crew leaders and other assistants
• Manage and document rate and material projects and work with PMs or Estimators in development of restoration plans
• Supervise multiple crews simultaneously on multiple projects

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate thorough understanding of all BELFOR service lines.
• Construction track — understand scope, schedule work, communicate professionally, ensure project safety, and maintain quality control
• Establish core project management capabilities with skills in time management, budgeting, scheduling, site supervision, customer contact, communication, quality control, safety, documentation, and change orders
• Advance knowledge of current construction practices
• Review daily project requirements, document progress and notify managers of progress and challenges
• Provide field documentation, photo logs, graphs and sketches for various projects
• Qualify vendors and subcontractors through the vendor qualification process
• Manage fixed bid projects and rate and material projects
• Understand BELFOR invoicing for various project types and provide necessary documentation
• Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
• Meet BELFOR Standards in safeguarding property
• Understand customer service principles and practices
• Work under time constraints to meet timelines
• Occasional night and weekend work and travel as needed
• Report time worked and equipment used timely and accurately
• Attend BELFOR training courses as required
• Manage large crews and projects through crew leaders and assistants
