Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE or NAVFAC quality requirements, with field inspectors reporting to you.

You will write the project quality control plan, run three-phase control meetings, and interface with the owner's QA representative, owning responsibility for every test result and nonconformance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate and ICC/NICET certifications.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner programs.
• Writes clearly and communicates effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
