Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to lead QC on large civil or federal programs. You’ll own the project quality control plan, run three-phase control meetings, supervise field inspectors, and be the primary point for all test results and nonconformances.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in QC or inspection, USACE CQM-C certification plus NICET Level III or ICC Special Inspector, and experience with USACE, NAVFAC, or DOT programs.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC Special Inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line with superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians; assign daily coverage and review reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
