Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large-scale projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE/NAVFAC quality requirements. You will write the project QC plan, run three-phase control meetings, and be accountable for test results and NCRs.

The role requires 6+ years in QC or special inspection, supervisory experience, and certifications (USACE CQM-C plus ICC NICET Level III).

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Ability to write clearly and hold the line in meetings with superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians; assign daily coverage and review reports.
• Run nonconformance and corrective-action processes and present in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
