Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead our quality control program on large, multi-phase projects—heavy civil, industrial, or federal under USACE/NAVFAC requirements. You will write the QC plan, run three-phase meetings, and own test results and NCR responses.

Expect to supervise QC inspectors, coordinate labs and certifications, and travel as needed. Salary ranges with per diem, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
